because they expand my idea of what’s possible.
Around here, we don’t do autopilot.
We don’t do “someday.”
We don’t hustle ourselves into burnout and call it success.
We build lives—and businesses—that actually feel good to live inside.
We have the conversations that matter—the real, the messy, the visionary ones.
And exactly zero interest in playing by anyone else’s rules.
My husband and I worldschool our kids—which basically means we swapped the traditional playbook for passports, possibility, and a life built around freedom, curiosity, and a whole lot of adventure.
I built my business (and honestly, my whole life) the same way:
A little strategy.
A lot of vision.
And we believe you don’t have to choose between ambition and alignment—you get to have both.
If you’re looking for permission to create a life that feels as good as it looks? You don’t need it.
Me, in a nutshell:
Our house. This is the first time I’ve ever felt truly settled (despite all the remodel plans in progress).
Being truly present. (Work in progress. Still sneaking peeks at my to-do list.)
Japan and lots of camping trips because nature is calling.
Sushirrito
My grandma Rosemary. Brave, non-judgmental, unconditionally loving, and a world-class listener.
According to my eldest: “Making every kid in the world feel good.”
Los Angeles is home. London is our home away from home.
Snuggles, strong coffee, fresh air, a family adventure, and watching the world through my kids' wonder-filled eyes.
Watching my three boys fall head-over-heels for their baby sister—and pouring my heart into my podcast.
Meet the Crew
When I became a mom, I knew the playbook I’d been handed—full of outdated expectations, performative parenting, and generational “shoulds”—wasn’t going to work. So I tossed it. I gave my inner rebel a green light to ask better questions. I devoured every parenting book I could find, explored every philosophy, and started shaping our own approach to raising little humans.
It was the second (or hundredth—who's counting?) pivotal moment in my journey to becoming a self-pronounced rule breaker. Honestly, the whole saga could be a book—working title: How to Accidentally Become a Rebel While Just Trying to Be a Good Mom.
It wasn’t a lightbulb moment—it was more like a quiet truth that had always lived in me. That mindset didn’t just show up later in life; it’s been a foundation since the beginning. But as I started forging my own path, it amplified everything. It reminded me that there’s always a way forward—and that belief has carried me through every bold decision since.
Then came Darren—startup junkie, now-husband, and the first person who ever looked me in the eye and said, "Why not build your own thing?"… and meant it. Back then, startups weren't a buzzword. No one in my world had ever suggested entrepreneurship as a career path. That moment changed everything. Darren taught me how to think like a founder—and together, we became unstoppable.
Since then, we've invested in over ten startups, built multiple businesses, and own real estate.
Looking back, I can see so clearly that "the path" was never meant for me.
I was always fiercely independent, full of questions, and allergic to being told what to do. A force, even as a kid. And yet? I craved normal. Something neat. Predictable. Preferably with a bow on top.
So, at 17, I left home and face-planted into adulthood with nothing but a stack of ramen packets and sheer willpower. I put myself through college, checked all the "right" boxes, and became a high-functioning perfectionist in heels. But none of it really fit. My dad passed away when I was 22, I had student loans I couldn't afford, and while I looked like the dream employee on paper, I was dying a slow death inside every office I entered.
Still, through it all, one phrase stuck with me—a line my dad used to say anytime I brought him a wild idea or hit a roadblock:
"Let’s figure out how we’re going to do this."
We were definitely coloring outside the lines... but that was just the warm-up.
We got intentional—on purpose and by necessity
Then came kindergarten. Our “amazing” public school didn’t feel amazing for us. That led to homeschooling, which led to worldschooling. Somewhere in there, we gave our kids my last name instead of Darren’s. We didn’t set out to make bold decisions. We just kept making the ones that felt right—even when they looked different.
Then came the year that flipped everything upside down.
It showed up uninvited, cracked me wide open, and dared me to start over. Again. I questioned everything. I let go of what no longer fit. I rebuilt—this time from the inside out.
Because building a life you love isn’t a one-time decision—it’s a thousand little choices, over and over again, even on the messy days.
That season of unraveling became fertile ground for clarity and growth. For deeper work. For louder intuition. And for the version of me that stands here now—rooted, real, and still asking better questions.
And the truth is?
